FINAL REPORT OF AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE INFORMATION GATHERING, EVALUATION, AND PLANNING CAPABILITIES OF THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE AGENCIES IN VENTURA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA.
Abstract
MAJOR RESEARCH RESULTS OF THE ENTIRE PROJECT ARE PRESENTED, INCLUDING A REVIEW OF VENTURA COUNTY'S CRIME PROBLEMS AND THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM'S RESPONSE. THE BASIC PRINCIPLES AND RATIONALE UNDERLYING THE MODEL CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM CONCEPT AS DERIVED FROM THE RESEARCH FINDINGS ARE EXPLAINED. THE PROPOSED ELEMENTS OF THE MODEL SYSTEM DEVELOPED FOR VENTURA COUNTY ARE DESCRIBED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
