GENERAL CATEGORIES OF FACTORS DISCUSSED ARE AS FOLLOW: COMMONALITIES RELATING TO STUDENTS, COMMONALITIES OF CONTENT, ORGANIZATION AND APPROACH, TEACHER CONSIDERATIONS, SOCIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FACTORS, THE PRISON ENVIRONMENT, A REWARD SYSTEM, SCHEDULING, AND ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS. THE AUTHORS ASSERT THE NEED FOR UNIQUELY DESIGNED MATERIALS FOR USE IN THE UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT OF PRISON.
