RESULTS OF RESEARCH ON THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN EFFECTIVE MANPOWER AND VEHICLE UTILIZATION SYSTEM.
Abstract
SPECIFIC CHANGES RESULTING FROM THIS PROJECT ARE THE RELOCATION OF BOUNDARIES, IN ORDER TO EQUALIZE WORK LOADS, AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPUTER SCHEDULING MODEL FOR DEPLOYING MANPOWER, BASED ON WORK LOAD REPORTS. A MANAGEMENT REPORT PROVIDED INFORMATION CONCERNING TIMES WHEN NO FULL-DUTY RESPONSE UNIT WAS AVAILABLE. THE FREQUENCY OF OCCURRENCE WAS ACCORDINGLY REDUCED. THE APPENDIX CONTAINS A DESCRIPTION OF THE MATHEMATICAL TECHNIQUE USED TO GENERATE PRECINCT SCHEDULES AND A GLOSSARY OF RADIO INCIDENT CODES. ADDITIONAL MATERIAL CONCERNS THE REDRAWING PROCESS, AND THE GEO-CODING ERROR CORRECTION PROCESS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
