Abstract
THIS QUESTIONNAIRE REPRESENTS A EFFORT TO REVIEW ON-GOING WORK ON PHYSICAL DESIGN IN URBAN SETTINGS ON A NATIONAL LEVEL. THE TEXT DEFINES THE PROBLEM OF RESIDENTIAL CRIME IN AN URBAN SETTING, DISCUSSES PROJECT STRUCTURE AND METHODOLOGY AND APPLICATION OF PROJECT CONCLUSIONS, AND EXPLAINS THE CONCEPT OF 'DEFENSIBLE SPACE'.
