A CORRECTIONAL ARCHITECTURE AND PROGRAM DESIGN AIMED AT THE REHABILITATION AND TREATMENT OF THE YOUNG ADULT OFFENDER POPULATION.
Abstract
THIS DOCUMENT IS PRESENTED IN TWO PARTS. THE FIRST PART IS A PROPOSAL TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF THE YOUTH AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT THE THEORETICAL PROPOSITIONS IN PART TWO. PART TWO DESCRIBES THE PROGRAM IN THE FORM OF A MODEL FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF CORRECTIONAL PROCESSES AT THE LEVEL OF THE STATE OF THE ART. ALTHOUGH THE AUTHORS FAVOR A GROUP PROCESS TREATMENT MODALITY, THE CORRECTIONAL MANAGEMENT MODEL THEY DESCRIBE SHOULD BE CATHOLIC IN APPLICATION. THE ROLES OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ARE STRESSED AS WELL AS THE OVERALL RESPONSIVENESS OF THE MODEL TO CHANGE.
