Issues related to dealing with the serious juvenile offender are discussed in terms of the deinstitutionalization of juvenile offenders.
Abstract
It is argued that 'serious offender,' as a concept, lacks empirical precision; the designation 'violent offender' is offered in its place. Programming for the violent offender within a community-based system is discussed. (Author abstract)
