EXAMINATION OF THE INCREASING USE OF A SECOND PATHOLOGIST IN BRITISH CRIMINAL TRIALS AS AN EXPERT MEDICAL WITNESS FOR THE DEFENSE.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR CONSIDERS THE REASONS FOR INCREASED USE OF THE DEFENSE PATHOLOGIST, THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEFENSE AND PROSECUTION PATHOLOGIST, AND ETHICAL PROBLEMS. HE CONCLUDES THAT A MORE EQUAL BALANCE OF MEDICAL EXPERTISE HAS BECOME MORE COMMON THROUGH GREATER USE OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE IN THE COURTS.
