Abstract
THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF DEDICATION ARE DISCUSSED AND ECONOMIC AND PRIVACY CONSIDERATIONS ARE EXAMINED AND SHOWN TO SHIFT THE BALANCE SLIGHTLY IN FAVOR OF CAREFULLY PLANNED CITY-WIDE INFORMATION SYSTEMS, AND AWAY FROM DEDICATED POLICE SYSTEMS.
