BIBLIOGRAPHICAL AND CROSS-REFERENCING SYSTEM OF EVERY SIGNIFICANT ARTICLE AND BOOK RELATING TO THE ETIOLOGY OF CRIME AND DELINQUENCY PUBLISHED IN THE UNITED STATES BETWEEN 1945 AND 1972.
Abstract
IT INCLUDES THE SUBJECT AREAS OF CRIME TYPES, KINDS OF OFFENDERS, CRIME CAUSATION, ETIOLOGY, DETERRENCE, GANG DELINQUENCY, CRIMINAL STATISTICS, VICTIMOLOGY, ETC. THREE SEPARATE INDEXES, CNSISTING OF 3132 ARTICLES AND 556 BOOKS, FORM THE SUBSTANCE OF THE CRIMINOLOGY INDEX: THE SOURCE DOCUMENT INDEX, THE SUBJECT INDEX, AND THE CRIMINOLOGY CITATION INDEX. THE SOURCE DOCUMENT INDEX IS A COMPLETE LIST OR BIBLIOGRAPHY DIVIDED INTO TWO SECTIONS: ONE ON ARTILCES, AND ONE ON BOOKS, DISSERTATIONS AND REPORTS. THE SECTION ON ARTICLES PRESENTS THE AUTHOR'S NAME, AUTHOR'S INSITUTIONAL AFFILIATION, TITLE OF THE WORK, JOURNAL NAME, YEAR, VOLUME AND PAGES. THE PUBLISHER AND PLACE OF PUBLICATION ARE ADDED FOR BOOKS. THE SUBJECT INDEX IS COMPOSED OF THE PAIRING OF EACH KEY WORK IN A TITLE WITH EACH OF THE REMAINING KEY WORDS IN THAT TITLE. EACH WORK PAIR IS ALPHABETICALLY LISTED WITH ITS ASSOCIATED AUTHOR AND BOOK OR ARTICLE NUMBER REFERRING TO AN ENTRY IN THE SOURCE DOCUMENT INDEX. THE CRIMINOLOGY CITATION INDEX LISTS ALL OF THOSE AUTHORS (AND THEIR ASSOCIATED WORKS) WHO ARE CITED BY AUTHORS APPEARING IN THE SOURCE DOCUMENT INDEX. IT IS DIVIDED INTO THREE SECTIONS OF CITATIONS: ANONYMOUSLY-AUTHORED WORKS, GENERAL WORKS, AND LEGAL PRECEDENTS. (SNI ABSTRACT)
