Abstract
The investigation cases encompass arrest, stop and frisk, search, informers, eavesdropping, wiretapping, examination and identification, and questioning. The prosecution cases involve preliminary investigation, bail, decision to prosecute, indictment, pleas and plea bargaining, pretrial proceedings, trial, sentence and judgment, appeal, double jeopardy, and collateral attack. The analysis focuses on case details, issues, and legal questions. Amendments to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, that were to become effective in December 1989, are not included in the document. A table of cases is provided.
