This paper examines the criminal justice system (CJS), policy research, and its utilization in India.
Abstract
The reader can see that different CJ-sectors compile and publish statistics. Official committees and commissions collate such information, while a host of funding agencies encourage research. Also, during the last fifty years, a fair amount of research has been conducted. However, it is uneven and has questionable relevance to policy. Besides, the utilizational arrangements to consult research. Apparently, both researchers and policy-makers need to develop a better understanding of each other's sole and requirements and establish an infrastructure to create a partnership.
