This document is a compilation by the Office of the Attorney General of the texts of Florida statutes which enumerate crime victims' rights.
Abstract
This article presents an overview of the Florida statutes including State constitutional provisions which impact crime victims' rights. The report is divided into nine sections including laws pertaining to victims rights and services, child victims and child victim witnesses, sexual battery victims, elderly and disabled victims, homicide survivors (victim's families), restitution, sentencing guidelines, and other statutes relating to victims' rights including judicial involvement, HIV testing, confidentiality of records, and special provisions for victims of hate-crimes and white collar crimes. Each featured statute is presented with its title, statutory citation, summary of the law's requirements and objectives. At the end of each substantive section, the report provides citations for related statutes. Index
