Abstract
COMMENTS ARE MADE ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HOME OFFICE STANDING COMMITTEE ON CRIME PREVENTION AND ITS ACTIVITIES. THIS COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NATION'S COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LIFE, WHICH MEET TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEMS OF CRIME PREVENTION AND TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS BOTH TO THE GOVERNMENT AND TO THE ORGANIZATIONS REPRESENTED ON THE COMMITTEE, THE ARTICLE THEN FOCUSES ON DETECTION AND PREVENTION, KEEPING AHEAD OF CRIMINAL TRENDS, AND NEW THREATS AND PROBLEMS. HIGHLIGHTS ARE ALSO PRESENTED OF THE CRIME PREVENTION OFFICER'S TASKS AND CRIME PREVENTION'S BROADER OBJECTIVES.
