This report portrays the nature, volume, and extent of crimes occurring on the campuses and housing of Tennessee colleges and universities during calendar year 1993.
Abstract

Offenses in this report were classified as Part I (criminal homicide, forcible rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny, and motor vehicle theft) or Part II (arson, forgery and counterfeiting, fraud, embezzlement, stolen property offenses, vandalism, weapons offenses, prostitution, sex offenses, drug abuse violations, gambling, offenses against the family and children, driving under the influence, liquor law violations, drunkenness, disorderly conduct, vagrancy, and all other offenses). Crime rates (based on campus population figures) and clearance rates were reported for each type of offense and each institution; this report contains individual summary reports for each reporting college and university in Tennessee. The report concludes with a trend analysis of campus crime for the period 1990-1993.
