REVIEW OF CRITICAL ARTICLES ON THE COURTS, DISCUSSION OF CHANGES THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE, AND SUGGESTIONS FOR FUTURE STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN UPDATING THE JUDICIAL SYSTEM.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR SUGGESTS THAT THE COURTS REDUCE POST-CONVICTION REVIEWS OF CONVICTIONS TO THOSE MERITING RELIEF, REEVALUATE THE ATTITUDES TOWARD VICTIMLESS CRIME, AND APPLY SOME OF THE BENEFITS OF TECHNOLOGY TO THE JUDICIAL PROCESS. A MUCH GREATER EMPHASIS SHOULD BE PLACED ON REHABILITATION AND THE A.B.A. STANDARDS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AND ACCEPTED.
