          Abstract
Formed in 1990, the Workplace Action Team (WAT) is comprised of professionals from private, government, and non-profit workplaces in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area who joined together to create tools and resources to prevent and address workplace violence. The intent of WAT is to create resources and encouragement for workplaces in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and beyond to implement sustained efforts for violence-free workplaces. This article describes the efforts of the WAT, the training and educational forums, WAT education and prevention/intervention strategies, and three case studies describing approaches and outcomes using the strategies and resources of WAT. The comprehensive approach advocated by the WAT can enhance morale and productivity in the workplace. References and Appendixes A-C
