This audiovisual presentation alerts viewers to the dangers of crack, a dealer-prepared cocaine 'freebase' that is smoked rather than snorted, which is becoming popular among teenagers.
Abstract
The film attributes the popularity of crack to its trendiness, low cost, easy availability, and ease of use. A live interview with cocain expert Arnold M. Washton, PH.D, gives the facts and shows that using crack multiplies the dangers of cocaine 5 to 10 times. Interviews with six former teenage addicts who are now in treatment are also presented.
