FINAL REPORT ON A PROJECT TO IMPROVE POLICE COMMUNITY RELATIONS THROUGH INCREASED USE OF FOOT PATROLS AND IN-SERVICE TRAINING OF POLICE OFFICERS AND CADETS IN COMMUNITY RELATIONS TECHNIQUES.
Abstract
THE PROGRAM IS EVALUATED THROUGH A CITIZEN-ATTITUDE POLL DEVISED BY THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. RESULTS SHOW THAT THE PUBLIC IS APPRECIATIVE OF THE EXTRA POLICE EFFORTS. POLL RESULTS ARE BROKEN DOWN BY RACE (WHITE, BLACK) AND AGE UNDER 20, OVER 20).
