This document describes an automated Court Management System (CMS) designed to help court clerks handle all information regarding municipal court proceedings.
Abstract
Master files are created within the CMS application; these code files allow the use of codes to track different types of information related to attorneys, judges, charges, dispositions, and financial data. Data entered into new cases include information on defendant characteristics, citation tickets, and specific charges. Events on the case may include pretrial and trial actions, or data on warrants, bonds, and fines. All reports available in the CMS may be printed; these include, inter alia, daily receipts, daily docket, receivables, court statistics, and escrow reports. This document includes several sample reports.
