Abstract
ACTIONS TAKEN BY STATE AGENCIES IN RESPONSE TO PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY THE TRAINING SCHOOLS OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS ARE OUTLINED. EFFORTS IN MASSACHUSETTS AND CALIFORNIA TO ENCOURAGE JUVENILE COURT DIVERSION AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE UTILIZATION ARE DESCRIBED.
