Controlled substances is the topic of this guide designed to assist the instructor in developing an appropriate lesson plan for performance objective-based law enforcement basic training.
Abstract
Performance objectives are specified for each unit of the curriculum. Individual units address several areas: possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; transport, sell, and furnish a controlled substance; lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD); peyote; phencyclidine (PCP); psilocybin; heroin; cocaine; marijuana; amphetamines and methamphetamines; effects of non- narcotic depressants; symptoms of hallucinogenic use, PCP use, stimulant use, depressant use; and opiate use; method of drug and narcotic use; cocaine base; cultivating or harvesting marijuana; and ingesting/inhaling a poisonous substance.
