This document presents the text of four draft resolutions developed by United Nations committees regarding international efforts to prevent and control organized crime and to address terrorism.
Abstract
The drafts were developed in consultation with representatives of many governments, in preparation for the Eighth United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and the Treatment of Offenders. They emphasize preventive strategies, criminal legislation, new methods of criminal investigation, law enforcement and criminal justice administration, and international cooperation. The model treaties focus on international extradition and mutual assistance in criminal matters. Footnotes
