STUDY TO INVESTIGATE CRIMINALITY IN THE DANISH NAVY AS EXPRESSED BY THE DISCIPLINARY MEASURES AND - OR PENALTIES IMPOSED.
Abstract
THE PROBLEM FORMULATED WAS WHETHER IT IS CORRECT THAT A SANCTION NEITHER CHARACTERIZES THE INDIVIDUAL HIMSELF NOR THE SERVICE POST AS SUCH, BUT MUST BE REGARDED AS BEING AN EFFECT OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN THE INDIVIDUAL AND HIS SERVICE POST. TECHNICAL STATISTICAL PROCESSES USED TO TAKE THIS INTERACTION INTO ACCOUNT ARE EXPLAINED THROUGH THE USE OF A MATHEMATICAL MODEL. THE INVESTIGATION SERVES TO ILLUSTRATE THE PROBLEMS OF COMPARISON WHICH ARE FACED IN CRIMINOLOGICAL RESEARCH.
