Abstract
AMONG THE OTHER COMPUTER APPLICATIONS DISCUSSED ARE THE USE OF COMPUTERS IN CONSTRUCTION OF INDICES, MICRO-IMAGE STORAGE FOR ELIMINATING THE BULK OF LEGAL LIBRARY MATERIAL, TAX COMPUTATIONS, ACCOUNTING AND BILLING FOR LAW OFFICES, JUDICIAL RECORD KEEPING, AND COMPILATION OF LEGAL INFORMATION SUCH AS LAND TITLES, PATENTS, SENTENCES, AND CORPORATE AND TRADE NAMES. THE VARIOUS AVAILABLE METHODS OF ELECTRONIC RETRIEVAL OF LEGAL DATA ARE ALSO REVIEWED. COMPUTER APPLICATIONS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ARE BRIEFLY DISCUSSED AS WELL.
