Abstract
METHODS AND CRITERIA EMPLOYED IN EVALUATING THE COMPATIBILITY OF THE COMPUTER SYSTEMS WITH THE NEEDS OF THE NEW YORK STATE IDENTIFICATION AND INTELLIGENCE SYSTEM ARE DESCRIBED. THE CRITERIA USED FOR EVALUATION WERE-DEMONSTRATED CAPABILITY, AVAILABILITY AND USEFULNESS OF SOFTWARE, OPERATING SYSTEM, FILE ORGANIZATION AND UTILIZATION, SYSTEM SECURITY, MODULAR HARDWARE ARCHITECTURE, MANUFACTURERS' SERVICES AND SUPPORT, AND COST. TABLES PROVIDE OPERATING COSTS INFORMATION.
