AN EFFORT IS MADE TO FIND AN AREA OF SERIVCE SUITED TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S ABILITIES OR INTERESTS. A COMMUNITY SERVICE SENTENCE OF 40 TO 120 HOURS IS HANDED DOWN AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO PRISON. COMMUNITY SERVICE MAY BE RENDERED DURING FREE OR LEISURE TIME, SO AS NOT TO INTERFERE WITH EMPLOYMENT. THE PROJECT DIRECTORS REPORT FAVORABLE RESULTS, WITH A NUMBER OF OFFENDERS REMAINING AS VOLUNTEERS AFTER THEIR TERMS OF SERVICE.
