METHODS USED BY SPECIAL WEST GERMAN POLICE INVESTIGATION TEAMS COMBATTING A GROWING INCIDENCE OF CRIME CARRIED OUT BY LARGE ORGANIZED CRIME GROUPS.
Abstract
THESE CRIMINAL GROUPS DIFFER FROM TRADITIONALLY CONCEIVED GANGS IN THEIR DIFFUSE GROUP STRUCTURE AND VARYING METHODS OF OPERATION. THESE CHARACTERISTICS MAKE IT MORE DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE THE COMPLICITY AND ROLES PLAYED BY INDIVIDUAL CRIMINALS IN THE GROUP AND TO DETERMINE WHICH OFFENSE WERE COMMITTED BY THE SAME GROUP. --IN GERMAN
