Abstract
STEP-BY-STEP PRESENTATION OF THE MATERIAL TO BE COVERED AND SUGGESTIONS FOR USING THE TRAINING SESSION AS PREPARATION FOR ACTUAL COLLECTIVE BARGAINING SESSIONS ARE GIVEN. PARTICIPANT HANDOUTS INCLUDE: (1) A CHART LISTING MANAGEMENT'S RESPONSIBILITIES DURING THE PREORGANIZATION, ORGANIZATION, NEGOTIATION, AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION PHASES OF THE BARGAINING PROCESS; (2) A DISCUSSION BY FELIX A. NIGRO ON EIGHT SPECIFIC WAYS IN WHICH COLLECTIVE BARGAINING HAS AFFECTED PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION; AND (3) A CHART SHOWING CHANGES IN TRADITIONAL PATTERNS OF MANAGEMENT RESULTING FROM COLLECTIVE BARGAINING.
