This report presents statistics on inmate characteristics and population movement in Washington State correctional facilities as of September 30, 1993.
Abstract
The first section contains tabulations of adult correctional institutions and work release populations, focusing on average daily population, female average daily inmate population, racial and Hispanic origin distribution of inmates (and specifically, female inmates), distribution of offenses and violent crime convictions, age distribution, and distribution of sentencing authority. Admissions statistics are classified by month and type of admission, type and county of conviction, age at admission by race and gender, county and race or Hispanic origin, type and sentencing authority, offense and type of admission, and month by sex. The final section relates to releases from prison and presents statistical tables on releases by type of release and month, by race and Hispanic origin, and by length of stay. 24 tables
