THE AUTHORS PRESENTS A PERSONAL ACCOUNT OF THE LAWLESSNESS CAUSED BY THE TWO DAY STRIKE OF THE BOSTON POLICE. HE GIVES DETAILS OF STORES GETTING LOOTED, BEATING AND ROBBING OF PEDESTRIANS WHILE SPECTATORS CHEERED THE ATTACKERS ON, AND THE RAPING OF WOMEN ON STREET CORNERS.
