THIS DOCUMENT DISCUSSES THE CANRED PROJECT IN TERMS OF ITS GOALS, OBJECTIVES, BENEFITS, NEEDS AND RESOURCES, PLANNING AND COORDINATION PROJECT FROM JULY, 1975 THROUGH JUNE, 1978.
Abstract
THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO ASSIST, AT BOTH REGIONAL AND STATE LEVEL OFFICES IN THE IDENTIFICATION, INVESTIGATION, TREATMENT, AND PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS GOAL, THE PROJECT WILL EVALUATE TWO OF ITS COMPONENTS, THE CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT INQUIRY SYSTEM (CANRIS) AND THE PUBLIC INFORMATION CAMPAIGN (PIC) ON CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT. OTHER GOAL ORIENTED ACTIVITY WILL CENTER AROUND THE DESIGNING AND TESTING OF SPECIFIC METHODS FOR CONDUCTING PROTECTIVE SERVICES NEEDS AND RESOURCES ASSESSMENTS, AND TO DEVELOP MODELS FOR DEVELOPING AND COORDINATING RESOURCES FOR SPECIFICALLY IDENTIFIED SERVICES.
