FILM WHICH DESCRIBES AND EXPLAINS THE FOUR GENERAL CONDITIONS THAT MUST BE MET BEFORE A BANK TELLER CAN CASH A CHECK WITH MINIMUM RISK OF LOSS.
Abstract
THE FOUR DETERMINING CONDITIONS ARE THAT THE CHECK MUST BE DRAWN ON THE TELLER'S BANK, IT MUST BE GENUINE AND VALID, THE DRAWER'S ACCOUNT MUST HAVE SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO COVER THE CHECK, AND THE ENDORSER MUST BE ADEQUATELY IDENTIFIED. TWEVELE CHECK-CASHING TRANSACTIONS ARE PRESENTED FOR WHICH THE VIEWERS ARE ASKED TO DECIDE WHETHER THE ABOVE CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN MET AND WHETHER THE PRESENTER OF THE CHECK SHOULD BE REFERRED TO A BANK OFFICER OR HAVE HIS CHECK CASHED. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED SO THAT EACH TRANSACTION MAY BE STUDIED BY THE VIEWERS AND ALL NECESSARY INFORMATION FOR MAKING THE CASH OR REFER DECISION IS GIVEN. IN THE FIRST FEW TRANSACTIONS, THE VIEWERS ARE GIVEN CONSIDERABLE HELP IN MAKING THEIR DECISIONS, BUT AS LATER TRANSACTIONS ARE PRESENTED, THIS HELP IS GRADUALLY WITHDRAWN UNTIL THE VIEWERS ARE MAKING THEIR DECISIONS ENTIRELY ON THEIR OWN.
