Abstract
THE AUTHOR NOTES THAT THE STRUGGLE AGAINST CAPITAL PUNISHMENT WAS NOT WON WITH FURMAN AND THAT THE HARSHER LAWS ENACTED SINCE THEN MAY RESULT IN AN EVEN GREATER USE OF THE DEATH PENALTY.
