AMONG THE TOPICS DISCUSSED IN THIS REPORT ARE THE PERFORMANCE STANDARDS AND CRITICAL ABILITIES DEVELOPED FOR EACH POSITION. THE VARIABLES AND EXERCISES USED FOR TESTING MANAGEMENT CAPABILITY, THE SELECTION AND TRAINING OF ACCESSORS, THE SELECTION OF ASSESSEES, AND THE OPERATION OF THE ASSESSMENT CENTER. THE EVALUATION SHOWED ATTAINMENT OF MOST OF THE MAJOR PROJECT GOALS. IT ALSO SHOWED THE ASSESSEES' REACTIONS TO BE VERY FAVORABLE. THEY PREFERRED THE ASSESSMENT CENTER PROCESS TO THE CIVIL SERVICE PROCESS BY A MARGIN OF TWO TO ONE AND THEY THOUGHT THE PROCESS VERY HELPFUL IN DIAGNOSING THEIR MANAGEMENT STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES AND IDENTIFYING TRAINING NEEDS.
