This directory provides information on training and technical assistance available to federally recognized tribes through the U.S. Justice Department's Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA).
Abstract
BJA's mission is to support law enforcement, courts, treatment, victim services, technology, corrections, and prevention initiatives that strengthen the Nation's criminal justice system, including the justice systems of American Indian and Alaska Native tribes. This directory lists the federally recognized tribes eligible for the training and technical assistance available through BJA. An overview of training opportunities for tribes is provided under the following media: online training, onsite and blended training, conferences, seminars, and academies. Technical assistance services are presented by technical assistance provider. Brief descriptions are provided on resources, and profiles are presented for 15 organizations that offer general and specific criminal justice training and technical assistance to American Indian and Alaska Native tribes.
