This report presents statistics, figures, and photographs showing the workload, personnel, and finances of the Buffalo Police Department (New York) during 1981.
Abstract
Tables show the calls for police service by precinct, complaints by shift and precinct, Part I offenses, nonindex crimes, arrests, and value of property stolen and recovered. Additional data cover the police personnel, salary scales, and years of service by rank and title. The year's highlights included a major offense program which increased personnel in the burglary task force and narcotics unit and a reduction in the number of traffic fatalities from the previous year.
