Abstract
SCHOOL VANDALISM, BICYCLE THEFT, SHOPLIFTING, AND DRUG ABUSE ARE SOME OF THE COMMON TEENAGE CRIMES DRAMATIZED AND DISCUSSED IN THE FILM. AFTER THE INTRODUCTORY LOOK AT JUVENILE CRIME, THE FILM CONCENTRATES ON THE ARREST AND BOOKING OF A TEENAGER. THE VIEWS FOLLOW HIM THROUGH THE WHOLE BOOKING PROCEDURE, INCLUDING SEARCH, PHOTOGRAPHING, FINGERPRINTING, AND THE EVENTUAL LOCKUP IN A CELL. THE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF THE ARREST ON THE JUVENILE'S FAMILY AND FUTURE ARE STRESSED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
