Abstract
SPECIFIC MEASURES TO BE TAKEN IN AN ATTEMPT TO PREVENT BANK HOLDUPS, OR AT LEAST REDUCE THEIR LIKELIHOOD, ARE OUTLINED. THESE INCLUDE OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT BY BOTH THE BANK EMPLOYEES AND THE POLICE. PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED IN THE EVENT OF AN ACTUAL HOLDUP ARE DISCUSSED ALONG WITH THOSE APPROPRIATE FOLLOWING THE DEPARTURE OF THE FLEEING CRIMINALS. THE BOOKLET CONTAINS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SUGGESTED WEAPONS TO BE USED BY THE POLICE AND A COPY OF A PROCEDURAL CHECK-LIST.
