Abstract
THIS REPORT TAKES THE FORM OF PROJECT-BY-PROJECT NARRATIVE PROFILES WHICH REPRESENT THE INTEGRATION OF DATA COLLECTED BY INTERVIEWERS, DESCRIPTIVE MATERIAL FROM PROJECT DOCUMENTS, AND ACCOUNTS OF THE PROJECTS PROVIDED BY PERSONNEL WHO HAVE HAD CONTACT WITH THE PROJECTS. AN ACKNOWLEDGED LIMITATION OF THE STUDY INVOLVES THE SMALL SAMPLES OF CLIENTS ON WHOM DATA WERE COLLECTED IN SEVERAL PROJECTS. THE EVALUATION AND PROGRESS REPORTS AVAILABLE ON THE PROJECTS ARE CONSIDERED LIMITED. TWO OF THE PROJECTS, HOWEVER, ARE CONSIDERED TO INDICATE IMPRESSIVE ACHIEVEMENTS IN AREAS SUCH AS CRIME REDUCTION. EDUCATIONAL GAINS, EMPLOYMENT, AND IMPROVEMENT IN CLIENTS' SELF-CONCEPTS.
