In this article, burglary-prevention measures are reviewed.
Abstract
Despite an abundance of literature on residential burglary prevention, both theoretical and practical, homeowners are still slow to take the necessary measures to avoid burglaries. The conclusion of the article is that, if certain architectural styles and types of landscaping, which add to aesthetic value as well as burglary deterrence of the house, can be promoted by means of some financial incentives, all parties concerned -- homeowners, public and private agencies -- will benefit.
