Abstract

The documented performance of the Office of Criminal Justice Operations pertains to the number of fingerprints processed and the continued major re-engineering of fingerprint process in order to eliminate paper transmissions to and from DCJS. The performance of the Office of Justice Information Services relates to efforts to reduce travel costs for DCJS offices and improvement in various State criminal justice information processing. Performance data and information for the Office of Public Safety focus on the establishment of four regional Crime Analysis Centers, the training and technical assistance program, the law enforcement accreditation program, and the certification of speed and alcohol detection instruments. The Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives addresses training sessions on community corrections and the number of risk and needs assessments conducted for adult and juvenile offenders. The performance data and information for the Office of Sex Offender Management address registry maintenance, a training video on sex offender management, and the number of registry searches. The performance of the Office of Forensic Services pertains to the DNA databank and the statewide DNA collection rate. The Office of Program Development and Funding reports activities related to grant contracts and training products derived from grants.
