Abstract
THIS GUIDE LISTS OVER 50,000 JUDGES, AND IS INTENDED FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND MEMBERS OF THE LEGAL PROFESSION. IT IS DIVIDED INTO 52 SECTIONS, ONE FOR THE U.S. COURTS AND ONE FOR EACH STATE AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, AND EACH SECTION IS DIVIDED INTO THREE PARTS. THE FIRST PART DESCRIBES EACH COURT IN THE STATE INCLUDING LOCATION, JURISDICTION, AND METHOD OF SELECTING JUDGES. JUDGES ARE LISTED WITH THE COURT THEY SERVE, AND LISTS OF COUNTIES AND COUNTY SEATS ARE PROVIDED WHERE APPLICABLE. THE SECOND PART INCLUDES MAPS OF JUDICIAL DIVISIONS FOR THE FOR UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT AND COURT OF APPEALS. ADDITIONAL MAPS SHOW JUDICIAL BOUNDARIES FOR MANY STATE COURTS. THE THIRD PART PROVIDES BIOGRAPHIES OF THE JUDGES ARRANGED ALPHABETICALLY, EACH BIOGRAPHY INCLUDING TITLE, COURT LEVEL SERVED, AND OFFICE ADDRESS. FULL BIOGRAPHIES ARE INCLUDES FOR A MAJORITY, CONTRIBUTED BY THE JUDGES THEMSELVES, AND INCLUDING PERSONNEL, MILITARY, EDUCATIONAL, AND LEGAL BACKGROUND, CURRENT AND PREVIOUS JUDGESHIPS, IMPORTANT DECISIONS, HONORS, PUBLISHINGS, AND MEMBERSHIPS IN ORGANIZATIONS.
