The Pathways Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program is a clinically supervised, fully integrated psychological, biological, whole-person approach to the treatment of addictions; the program is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Department of Economic Security, and is designed for youths between the ages of 13 and 18.
Abstract
The treatment model combines philosophies and practices from the medical, psychological, family systems, and 12-step programs. The goal of Pathways is to treat addictions as a primary disease and provide services for the entire family. The program emphasizes individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling in a therapeutic setting. Treatment services are based on the Disease Concept and follow a 12-step approach covering personal boundaries, family roles, spirituality, relapse, feelings, grief, shame, assertiveness, and finding balance. The information in this document describes the Pathways family program schedule, Pathway rules and expectations, patient's rights, admission criteria, and general information. 1 appendix
