Abstract
Committee reports, memoranda, and opinions regarding court reorganization and judicial reform are included, as are procedures concerning the Financial Disclosure Rule. Reports about the judiciary budget and purchasing services are presented, and procedures concerning judicial personnel, education, and training services are provided. Policies address judges' retirement, employee injury, interview and screening procedures, and training guidelines. The development of judicial information systems is covered, with attention to the Maryland judicial system, the supreme bench criminal and juvenile information system, and the Anne Arundel County circuit court information system. Judicial planning services, research, and special projects are also reported, with information on wiretapping and electronic surveillance plans, space planning, a community service project, and other programs. Descriptions are given of the Statistical Auditing Project and the duties of the circuit administrative judge, the legal officer, the State Board of Law Examiners, and the standing committee on rules of practice and procedure. Other personnel procedures and policies are outlined.
