The third presentation focused on The Center for Victims of Torture in Minneapolis, Minnesota, which offers a safe haven for people who have suffered torture. The fourth honoree was the Alaska Native Women Sexual Assault Committee in Anchorage. The final honoree was The Children’s Assessment Center in Houston, Texas, where the staff provides a fun and safe environment for abused children. The segment on the Special Leadership Awards included a presentation about Judi Conway Patton, the First Lady of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
