Abstract
"Law Enforcement, Houses of Worship Come Together to Use SHOW App for Safety and Security Planning" explains how the "Safeguarding Houses of Worship" (SHOW) app developed by the Justice Technology Information Center, a program of the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), helps houses of worship develop a safety and security plan tailored to their specific needs. "New Guide Offers Assessment Guidance to Small Agencies" describes a new publication available from the Justice Technology Information Center that provides guidance to small law enforcement agencies on how to find the time and resources required to assess and improve operations. "New Facility Adds to University's Research Capability on Unmanned Aircraft Systems" describes the University of Maryland's addition of an outdoor, netted facility for researching and testing UASs. The "TECHShorts" section of this issue presents a report that highlights the promising practices of the Utah Department of Public Safety in addressing cyber crime, as well as a report on a website that provides access to online courses related to adult and juvenile drug treatment courts, including those that serve veterans and tribal communities.
