This SafeFutures Marketing Tool Kit is designed to assist all demonstration sites in implementing the SafeFutures initiative, which is a multidisciplinary effort to provide a continuum of services and graduated sanctions for at-risk and delinquent juveniles.
Abstract
The Marketing Tool Kit is specifically designed to help sites use marketing and promotional activities in strengthening program impacts. The Tool Kit presumes the importance of marketing efforts in raising awareness about SafeFutures in the community; building support among individuals and agencies involved in SafeFutures; encouraging parents, school staff, media representatives, and others to participate in SafeFutures; and recruiting volunteers to serve on planning boards and become mentors. The Tool Kit provides quick access to practical information about marketing and promotion for SafeFutures. It includes details on various promotional tools and how to use them, and it presents a step-by-step approach for developing a marketing plan. One of the three major sections of the kit presents an introduction to marketing and a variety of promotional options. The second major section contains materials for implementing the information in the first section. The third section presents ideas for using the SafeFutures logos as well as the logos of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, along with camera-ready and electronic versions of the logo.
