This is the monthly report (March 31, 2014) of the RoundUp Tool (RPT) project, which involves the deployment of a suite of software tools used by Internet Crime Against Children (ICAC) Task Forces in investigating p2p (peer-to-peer) web networks for trafficking in child pornography (CP).
Abstract
Data are provided on the CP cases developed under the RPT project, The total number of CP cases opened that involved "contact" offenders (persons who had sexual contact with a minor) was 1,277 (10 percent) for all RPT databases. The total number of CP cases that involved non-contact offenders was 11,394 (90 percent) for all RPT databases. The total number of completed case surveys was 12,621 out of 17,567 (72 percent) for all databases. The total number of cases that were refused or unable to be completed were 3,532 (20 percent) for all databases; and the total number of cases pending was 1,414 (8 percent). Data are also presented for various database reports for other months and years of the RPT project. 6 tables
