This bulletin presents up-to-date information on youth related model programs, upcoming conferences, funding initiatives, and new publications from the U.S. Department of Justice, Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
In order to provide quick access to current and up-to-date information, the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) publishes a bi-monthly bulletin containing information on model programming, upcoming conferences, new publications, funding update, and more. In this issue, information is presented on: (1) the OJJDP’s award winning Performance-based Standards (PbS) for Youth Correction and Detention Facilities initiated in 1995 to collect and analyze data to improve conditions and services in facilities; (2) upcoming conferences on truancy and Tribal youth issues; (3) newly released publications covering issues of mental health status of youth, minority confinement, juvenile arrests, and trends in juvenile murder; (4) recent OJJDP funding awards and solicitations; and (5) OJJDP’s award winning website redesign.
