This webinar is designed to address issues related to using administrative data. Learning to use administrative data is both an art and a skill. Management information systems that house specific data elements, such as arrests, convictions, probation intakes, behavioral health intakes, and discharge data, are the cornerstone of most agencies. Administrative data are useful in evaluations of grant programs—from process to implementation to outcome studies.

In this webinar, participants will learn how to:

  1. use administrative data;
  2. combine implementation and outcome data (and use a new evaluation design, implementation-effectiveness);
  3. learn novel ways of using administrative data.

This webinar will also focus on how to link implementation and outcomes to better understand how your grant initiative is functioning.

Speakers:

  • Faye S. Taxman, PhD, University Professor for School of Policy and Government and Director of the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence at George Mason University
  • Demetrius Thomas, Deputy Program Director, Behavioral Health, The Council of State Governments Justice Center
